Activity - Erasing Letters on the Whiteboard
Best Mom Prewriting Activity
Recommended Age:
2 ½ years and up
Materials Needed:
· Small whiteboard
· Dry erase markers
· Q-tips
Directions:
Write out letters on the whiteboard. You can scramble the letters up or put them in order. You can write upper and lowercase letters or just one set. Then ask your child to use a q-tip to erase the letter you call out. This will help them learn letter recognition, and it will help them develop their prewriting skills. If your child needs a challenge, have them erase the letters by tracing over the letter with the q-tip. You can also write out your child’s name on the whiteboard and have them trace over the letters of their name with the q-tip.
