Why Prepare for Kindergarten?
· The first few years of education help to establish a strong foundation for future academic success.
· There are so many firsts that your child will experience in kindergarten—new environment, new people, new schedules, new rules, new friends, new emotions, and new academics—if you can help your preschooler prepare academically or socially for kindergarten, then that might help reduce the stress or overwhelm of the newness of kindergarten.
· Being prepared will help boost their confidence in their academic performance or their new found independence.

How to Prepare for Kindergarten?
· Being a former schoolteacher, I took the time to research kindergarten state standards to make sure each activity in The Ultimate Kindergarten Prep Guide would help your child be fully prepared in all subject areas when entering kindergarten. Even though I used these standards as a guideline, my main goal was to make the learning experience fun for you and your child!
· This book has over 170 activities!
· The educational activities take 10-20 minutes a day to help child foster a love of learning.
· There are 114 low-prep activities because I know many moms are very busy.
· The book is divided into 5 subject areas: Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Life Skills. Your preschooler will have the privilege of learning everything from:
o Counting, Beginning Addition and Subtraction, and Measuring
o Foundations of Reading, Retelling Stories, and Writing Practice
o Earth and Space, Living and Nonliving, and Parts of Plants
o Days of the Week, Map Skills, and Economics
o Blow Nose, Parents’ Phone Numbers, and Civilities
· These activities are kid-tested! My oldest son and I had the joy of doing each activity together before he started kindergarten, and now my 4 year and I get to do the same activities together.
· The book also includes 88 handouts that correlate with specific activities (and a link to print colored copies).
